Stannol Soldering Liquid Nr. 1V, 500 ml, is an activated halogenated inorganic flux, type 3.1.1 A according to DIN EN 29454‑1. It is ideal for soldering and tinning metal surfaces made of iron, steel, copper, and brass. Flux residues are corrosive, but water‑soluble, allowing them to be removed from smooth surfaces using water or an appropriate cleaning solution. Technical Data & Usage: Flux type: inorganic, Type 3.1.1 A Active ingredients: zinc chloride, ammonium chloride Density at 20 °C: approx. 1.09 g/ml Color: colorless pH value: approx. 4 Shelf life: about 2 years when stored properly in a sealed original container Safety & Handling Notes: Apply a thin layer for easily soldered surfaces; for harder surfaces, clean or mechanically remove oxide layers first. When dipping into a hot solder bath, avoid rapid immersion to prevent boiling/evaporation of the flux. After soldering, clean flux residues thoroughly with warm water. Use eye protection, gloves, and ensure good ventilation; residues are corrosive, irritating, and harmful to the environment.
